The spleen-rate of Montgomery has risen as high as from 4.16 per cent. in September 1913 to 70.l per cent, in November 1915 and 77.27 per cent, in the first part of February 1916; while the parasite rate has gone up from 2.72 in September 1913 to 27.27 in February 1916. In the absence of any large number of towns and rural circles showing the epidemic figure higher than 5 it has not been thought necessary to prepare and append a separate map showing the distribution and intensity of malaria for the present year.
