THE NEW ASSURANCES for 1873 amounted to £307,700.
DIVISION OF PROFITS.— The result of the Valuation, as at 31st December, 1872, by the
Carlisle Three per cent. Tables, the whole of the loading being reserved, thus bringing the pure
premiums only into account, was a Bonus distribution of £1 per cent, per annum as an addition
to the Whole Life Participating Policies, equivalent to a per centage varying from 23 to 50 per
cent, of the Premiums paid, and an addition of 20 per cent, to the Shareholders' Fund.
EIGHTY PER CENT. OF THE PROFITS returned to the Participating Policy-holders.
ASSURANCES FOR BENEFIT OF WIFE AND CHILDREN— In terms of the "Married
Women's Property Act, 1870," this Company is prepared to issue Policies securing the amount
for the benefit of the Wife, or of the Wife and Children, which cannot be taken by the Husband's
Creditors. These Policies are free from Probate duty.
FREE PAID-UP POLICIES granted after one Premium has been received, if the Assurance
be effected under the Ten or Fifteen Premium Table, and after three Annual Premiums if unde
the ordinary Tables.
COMMISSION allowed to Solicitors and others introducing business.
