in Marr. He died unmarried.

WILLIAM LESLEY 3^d Son married Gordon
Daughter to Gordon of Achanachie. He lives
in Strathbogie.

8. PATRICK LESLEY eldest Son to George of Kincraigie suc-
ceeded to his Father in a small and broken Fortune. But by
his Virtue and Frugality he hath recovered the same to a good
Condition. He married Isobel¹ Forbes Daughter to William
Forbes of Corsindae. She bare to him Two Sons, George and
John, and a Daughter Christian. This Gentleman yet lives.

GEORGE LESLEY eldest Son to Patrick Lesley present Laird
of Kincraigie a very hopefull Youth. After his Studies at the
College he studied the Laws in Holland, and after entered an
Attorney at London. But by his Father's Perswasion he
came to Scotland, and entered Advocate before the Lords of
Session, where he continues. He married  Hay

Daughter to Hay D^r of But she
died within a few Moneths after the Marriage.

JOHN LESLEY the Second Son was Apprentice to a Merchant
in Aberdeen, but is now turned Soldier.

CHRISTIAN LESLEY Daughter to Patrick of Kincraigie without
her Father's Consent hath married
Donaldson a base Fellow.

LESLEY of WARDES or WARDHOUSE the
Second lawfull Cadet of Balwhaine.

GREGORY King of Scotland built a Castle on the Top of the
Hill of Dunidore (whereof the Ruins are yet to be seen) and
dwelt therein.

AT the Foot of that Hill is Wardes Castle, i.e. the King's
Wardhouse.
