SIR,-I have the honour to submit herewith the following report and return
of cases treated with Professor Lustig's serum during April 1899 :-
The number of cases treated was 39 of whom 21 died and 18 recovered, giving
a mortality rate of 53.84 per cent. The mortality rate of cases not similarly treated
was 77.51 per cent., thus showing a difference of 23.67 per cent, in favour of the
former.
2. The cases were divided into the following series: -
