The Sinner's Request.

  Answere to the Sinner's Dream.

[NLS note: a graphic appears here - see image of page]

O, when shall I see the end of my pair,
And triumph with thee, my Saviour again ?
From the heigth of temptation shall thy
kingdom bring,
And grant me that power to live without sin.

My case is most dismal, O, Lord thou dost
O where shall I wonder, or where shall I go,
But uuto thy fountain, where pure blessings
flow.
And fall at thy feet when merey doth show.

Mercy from the lord I always do have.
He from the and through I hope to receive,
A pardon for all my misdeeds I have done,
Or else in sorrow for ever must moarn.

The time is approaching when we must appear
Quite naked and bare as when we came here,
To give an account for all we have done,
Whether good or evil when our glass is run.

Now a poor sinner, come lord lend an ear,
since I cannot find no sure comfort here,
So onwards to fountain guide me how to go,
And wash me more whiter than the drive
snow.

The heavens is free if sinners chose to come,
To the throne of mercy through the bleeding
lamb.
To that blessed fountain where sweet blessing
flow,
And triumph everlasting where there is no woe.

Thy triumph O Lord is what I long to see,
Thy glorified face let it smile upon me,
And then shall I sing, O, blessed be the tree,
That rich fountain sprung from that sanctified me

Os what glad tidings is these which I hear,
That fountain made free to wash sinners clear,
Ascendiug of pleasure while here below.
Through these dismal vales obliged to go.

Come rise then my soul, come rise, let as go,
To drink of that fountain where such blessing
flow,
It cleanses from sin, from sorrow, grief and wo
And triumph with Jesus wherever we go.
