     22.Northern District. —In this com-
mand malarial fevers, skin affections
and rheumatism were the prevailing
forms of sickness. The 8 deaths resulted
from malarial fever, lung diseases,
diarrhœa and skin diseases.

     23. British Burmah Division. In
this as in the other divisions the greater
portion of the admissions was due to
malarial fevers, generally of a mild type,
except in the Andamans, skin diseases and
rheumatism. There were also numerous
cases of dysentery, continued fevers,
diarrhœa and lung affections. The deaths
resulted from malarial and continued
fevers, lung diseases, dysentery and
diarrhœa.

     24. Nagpore Force. —The troops in
this division suffered more from malarial
fevers than those in any other command,
the admissions having been at the rate of
73.78 to strength. Skin diseases, eye dis-
eases, rheumatic affections and continued
fevers were also common. Forty-two
cases of eruptive fevers also occurred.
Malarial fever was responsible for 14
deaths, and the others were due to erup-
tive and continued fevers, lung diseases,
dysentery, diarrhœa and rheumatism.

Division.

     26. Mysore Division. —The most
prevalent disease in this circle was
malarial fever, but skin diseases, con-
tinued fever, dysentery, lung diseases,.
diarrhœa and rheumatism also contri-
buted largely to the sick list. The majority
of the deaths was debitable to malarial
fevers and lung diseases. There were 21
cases of eruptive fevers. This circle was
the most unhealthy of any, judging from
the daily sick rate, and with the exception
of the Ceded Districts shows the largest
mortality.
