Bandhuca is really conspecific with I. coccinea. There is, however, no
possibility of mistaking the one form for the other as they grow, and it
must be noted that the plant observed by Mr. Hume and Dr. Alcock was
not typical I. coccinea but the form described by Dr. Roxburgh as I.
Bandhuca.
