No. 1565.

GENERAL DEPARTMENT.

Bombay Castle, 18th May 1877.

Letter from the Sanitary Commissioner, No. 1173, dated 15th May 1877—Forwarding a
report on the sanitary condition of the town of Dharwar, prepared after a personal
inspection of the town in August 1876; stating that the report was sent to the
President of the Municipality of the town in October 1876, but has recently been
returned to him without a copy of any resolutions of the Municipal Commissioners
upon it, which he thinks has probably arisen from the fact that Mr. Richey has
been absent from Dharwar and there has been no time to lay the report before
the Municipality; and adding that he is anxious that the report should appear among
the inspection reports of the year [1876].

RESOLUTION.—The report may be printed as desired by Mr. Hewlett, who
should mention in his general report the cause of there being no remarks by the
Municipality on his report.

E. W. RAVENSCROFT,
Chief Secretary to Government.
