"Thus it will be seen that out of the Rs. 150 sanctioned by the Government for
Imperial prizes, only Rs. 79 was awarded.

"Class IGeldings.—There was only one gelding shown, and although being over 3
years old it did not strictly fulfil the conditions of the prize list, a prize was awarded
under note 2 of the Rules for the guidance of Judging Committees of Metropolitan Horse
Fairs.

"Class IIRemounts.—No remounts were purchased for British service, and of
those purchased for Native Cavalry and Police, 8 were shown, out of which 7 were over
3 years of age and one was under 3 years.

"Out of the former, six, purchased as below, received prizes:—

"Only one horse under 3 years of age was shown, and it was awarded a prize. The
Ajmere Police were the purchasers.

"Class IIIMules.—Only two mules were exhibited, one belonging to Yakub Khan
of Todgurh, and the other belonging to Mussammat Jamua of Beawar. The former got the
first prize of Rs. 10, and the latter, which arrived late, was awarded the second prize of
Rs. 5. No pony mares kept for mule-breeding were brought to the fair.

number of the several allotted to them is attached to this report as Appendix A.
