10. Grazing. —During May and the early part of June
owing to the scanty grazing, stall feeding for about 1,000
cattle had to be resorted to, but later the rainfall was suffi-
cient to grow a fair amount of grass. There was rain in
June that pro noted the growth of grass earlier than usual,
this was followed by a useful fall of 4" in July which served
to keep the grazing going.
