90. Owing to financial stringency no addition was made
to the cadre of the subordinate veterinary staff of the Depart-
ment during the year.

At the close of the year the sanctioned cadre of the sub-
ordinate veterinary staff employed on district work was—

The decrease in the number of Veterinary Inspectors was
due to retirements. New recruitment could not be made,
as the posts of Veterinary Inspectors are being eliminated in
accordance with the policy of Government.

During the year under report financial stringency was
also responsible for holding in abeyance the two posts of
Farm Overseers and for the abolition of the posts of 2nd
Bir Darogha and the Head Jamadar at the Government
Cattle Farm, Hissar.
