Table XI.

28. Thirteen horse and 2 pony stallions were actually
employed at stud during this year
compared with 17 horse and 3 pony
stallions employed during the previous
year. These covered 558 and 92 mares respectively against
736 and 138 mares covered during the previous year. The
average of covering comes to 42.9 and 46.0 against 43.3 and
46.0 in the previous year.

Fifteen donkey stallions remained at stud during this
year against 20 in the previous year. They covered 516
mares against 894 in the previous year and the average of
covering comes to 34.4 against 47 in the previous year.
