                        IV.—Subordinate Establishment.

15. Table VII.—There were two Veterinary Assistant Surgeons working
in the province as in the previous year. Their work has been shown under
the head "Hospitals and Dispensaries".

                      V.—Expenditure of the Department.

16. Table XIV-A.—The expenditure of the Department during the year
was Rs. 8,305 as against Rs. 6,072 in the previous year.

                            VI.—General Remarks.

17. As remarked in the previous reports, more Veterinary Assistant
Surgeons and Dispensaries are badly needed in the province and although a
scheme for the formation of a properly organized Veterinary Department
was under the consideration of Government, it could not be brought into
force on account of financial stringency.
