13.  Small-Pox.—Two outbreaks were reported with 407 attacks and
275 deaths.

14.  Contagious Pleuro Pneumonia.—135 animals were attacked in 3
outbreaks and 76 died.

15.  Parasitic Gastritis.—In 3 outbreaks 38 sheep were attacked and
27 died.

16.  Liver Fluke.—81 animals were attacked in 6 outbreaks and 58 died.

17.  Rinderpest.—In 2 outbreaks, 67 sheep were attacked and 27 died.

                                          (b) Goats.

18.  One case of Tetanus was reported and the animal died.

19.  Foot-and-Mouth Disease.—In an outbreak of this disease 15 goats
were attacked and all recovered.

20.  Liver Fluke.—In 7 outbreaks, 128 goats were attacked and 85 died.

21.  Parasitic Gastritis.—Fortynine goats were attacked in 5 outbreaks
and 37 died.

22.  Rinderpest.—In one outbreak, 2 goats were attacked and both
recovered.

                                          (c)  Dogs.

23.  Rabies.—Thirtytwo cases of Rabies were reported. All of them
died or were destroyed.

24.  Distemper.—Twentysix cases were reported with 12 deaths.

25.  Piroplasmosis.—Fifteen cases were confirmed. Of these 12 dogs
died and 3 recovered under treatment.

                                        (d)  Camels.

26.  No contagious disease was reported among camels.

                                        (e)  Fowls.

27.  Fowl Cholera.—212 fowls died of Fowl Cholera in Ajmer, out of 280
attacked.

                        (iv) PREVENTIVE INOCULATION.

28.  Table III.—In 43 outbreaks of Rinderpest 6,403 head of cattle were
vaccinated with Goat Tissue Virus. 8 deaths occurred among the inoculated
animals.

29.  12 equines were protected with mixed Streptococcic Vaccine, against
Strangles.

30.  Seven dogs were protected with Anti-rabic Vaccine in Ajmer.

                                (v) OTHER DISEASES.

31.  Table IV.—The Veterinary Assistant Surgeons were on tour for
350 days (Ajmer 77, Beawar 199 and Kekri 74 days). They visited 357
villages, castrated 74 animals and treated 1,956 animals for contagious disease
and 399 for non-contagious disease, as against 204 villages, 77 castrations
performed and 1,377 animals treated for contagious disease and 142 for non-
contagious disease in the previous year.
