ANNUAL ADMINISTRATION REPORT (PROVINCIAL) OF THE CIVIL
  VETERINARY DEPARTMENT FOR THE OFFICIAL YEAR 1901-1902.

                                        I.—HORSE-BREEDING.

1. The Arab stallion "Maxim" maintained by the Hyderabad Local Board
covered 16 mares against 23 last year. Out of the 23 mares covered last
year, one foaled, 12 were "not held," and the result of 10 not known.

The total cost of feed and keep on account of this horse was Rs. 262-7-9
against 387-7-11 the previous year, showing a decrease of Rs. 125-0-2.

                                        II.—MULE-BREEDING.

1. There is a Sindhi donkey stallion named "Shikárpur," which has been
kept by Khán Bahádur Ghulam Rasul Khan of Jatoi in the Hyderabad District
at his own expense, but no information has as yet been given to me as to
results.

                                        III.—CATTLE-BREEDING.

                        INCLUDING CATTLE FAIRS AND SHOWS.

                                        (1).—Cattle-breeding.

There is one bull kept by the Hyderabad Local Board, but no information
has ever been given to me as to results.

                                         (a) Cattle Fairs and Shows.

No Cattle Fair or Show was held in the year.

Itinerating Veterinary Graduate Ansari.

Inspected by me on 1st March 1902. The
number of cases treated during the year was 331
against 347 last year.

In-patients 12, out-patients 319. Thirty
cases of castration are reported against 24 last
year.
