33. Castrations.—Twelve colts were castrated by the Veterinary Graduate
during the year under report against 16 last year. The decrease is due to the
fact that a large number of horses belonging to the police were castrated last
year.

Tour of the Superintendent.
During the year under report the Superintendent, Civil Veterinary Depart-
ment, visited the different centres for cattle breeding in his Provinces by travel-
ling 68 miles by road and 3,902 by rail.
