RESOLUTION.—The report on the administration of the Bombay
Veterinary College during the year 1928-29 is satisfactory. The
number of students on the rolls was 98, out of whom 67 passed
their examinations successfully. Government are pleased to note
that the treatment of Surra by means of an injection of 'Bayer 205
was tried with success in the College laboratory.

2.The Civil Veterinary Department continued to take preven-
tive measures against the spread of contagious diseases both in the
Presidency proper and in Sind. In the Presidency proper 32,721
animals were protected against Black Quarter as against 3,306 in
the previous year. Out of the animals thus protected only 40 died,
