Research work in connection with the transmission of Nasal
Granuloma to healthy cattle was continued during the year but as
no nasal lesions could be produced, the experiment was
discontinued.

17.    Employment of Graduates.—Of the 33 students who passed
in 1933, 21 are in the service of Government, 5 in the service of
Indian States and 7 are unemployed. Of the 27 students who passed
in 1932, 11 are in the service of Government, 11 in the Service of
Indian States, 4 unemployed and 1 died. Of the 21 students who
passed in 1931, 7 are employed in service of Government, 11 in
service of Indian States, 1 is in private practice and 2 are un-
employed. Thus out of a total of 81 Graduates passed out of the
college during the last three years, 39 are in the service of
Government, 27 in the service of Indian States, 1 is in private
practice, 13 are unemployed and 1 died. Of the unemployed
Graduates some are awaiting appointments to be made after the
commencement of the official year.

18.    The College Buildings.—During the year sanitary fittings
were provided in the students' quarters. The work has been
constructed at a cost of Rs. 5,800. The ordinary repairs to the
buildings were carried out as usual by the Public Works
Department.

19. General Remarks.—The Principal desires to place on record
his appreciation of the work of all the officers of the College.

                    II. TREATMENT OF DISEASE

20.    Reporting.—Reports of contagious disease were received
from all the districts of the Presidency and from
the City of Bombay. The number of recorded
attacks and deaths from these diseases were
96,114 and 27,381 respectively against 1,57,631 and 38,088 recorded
last year. The number of outbreaks attended declined from
4,252 in 1932-33 to 3,098 in the year under report. The decrease
was mainly under Rinderpest and Foot and Mouth disease. Two
thousand, seven hundred and fifty reports were received from
village officers, 129 from other sources and 219 outbreaks were
detected by the departmental staff.

                Contagious diseases of Equines.

21.    Glanders.—No case was reported during the year.

Surra.—Sixty-five deaths were reported from surra in Ahme-
dabad, Kaira, Thana, Kolaba, West Khandesh, Nasik and Dharwar
districts and from Bombay City.

Epizootic Limphangitis.—Three cases were detected in Bombay
City against 8 cases last year.

Strangles.—Thirty-one cases were reported.

Equine Influenza.—Twenty-six cases were reported from Poona
and Surat districts.
