Production of glandular extracts.—450 [305] c.c. of spleen
extract were supplied to the field staff for the treatment of obscure
and chronic skin affections.
Goat virus production.—This is the only vaccine that the
Laboratory manufactures locally at present. During the year
under report 604,100 [662,200] doses of goat blood and tissue virus
were produced and 556,890[ 648,500] doses were supplied to the
veterinary dispensaries and quarantine stations. The seed virus
obtained from the Imperial Veterinary Research Institute, Muktesar,
completed 168 passages by the end of March, 1941, and it was found
to be fully potent.
In addition to the above, 628,400 [808,200] doses of goat
virus were produced and distributed by the divisional officers at
Raipur and Jubbulpore.
