School for men at Bilaspur. He attended the meetings
of the Agricultural Associations held at Raipur, Bilaspur
and Drug. He also attended some of the rinderpest and
hæmorrhagic septicæmia outbreaks and organized inocula-
tion and castration.

6.    The veterinary work in the Berar Division being
too large a charge for a single Deputy Superintendent, this
division was split into two charges, East and West Berar
Divisions, with effect from 1st April 1928, the former
comprising Amraoti and Yeotmal and the latter Akola and
Buldana districts.

Mr. Kashi Prasad held charge of the two divisions
from 1st April 1928 till 31st May 1928 as Mr. Abdul
Quadir was on medical leave.

7.     Mr. Mahomed Abdul Quadir, Deputy Superin-
tendent, Civil Veterinary Department, East Berar Divi-
sion, held charge of the division from 1st June 1928. He
toured in the Amraoti and Yeotmal districts and inspected
all the dispensaries in the Yeotmal district and the Amraoti
district (except Chandur) and the offices of the Veterinary
Inspectors, Amraoti and Yeotmal, attended two outbreaks
and organized preventive measures. He arranged
lectures with magic lantern slides at Nandgaon, Asegaon,
Chikalda, Ghatang, Loni and Sawarkhed in Amraoti dis-
trict and at Bori and Digras in the Yeotmal district. He
attended the meeting of the Auditors of Co-operative
Societies at Amraoti and delivered lectures on veterinary
subjects. He also attended the cattle fairs held at Wun
and at Bairam and the cattle show held at Rinmochan, at
which he arranged lectures on cattle diseases with magic
lantern illustrations.

8.     On the 5th June 1928 Mr. Kashi Prasad, offici-
ating Deputy Superintendent, opened the new West Berar
Division. He toured in the Akola, Amraoti and Buldana
districts and inspected all the 16 dispensaries in the Akola
and Buldana districts once and also the dispensaries at
Morsi and Chandur and paid 15 surprise visits to the dis-
pensaries at Karanja, Chikhli, Malkapur, Mehkar, Deul-
gaon Raja, Patur, Khamgaon, Shegaon, Mangrulpir and
Buldana. He inspected the slaughter-houses for horned
cattle and goats at Patur, Basim, Murtizapur, Akot, Man-
grulpir, Balapur, Akola, Karanja, Malkapur, Shegaon,
Jalgaon, Chikhli and Khamgaon. He visited the
