12. There was no private student from this Province reading in the College
during the year under report.

18. The number of graduates allotted to this Province was one but he did not
actually join the Department till after the close of the year.

14.  No Veterinary Assistants were sent to the Bengal Veterinary College during
this period for a Refresher Course.

               PART II.—TREATMENT OF DISEASES.

15.  Table II shows the number of deaths from contagious diseases reported
during the year. Reports have been received from all the districts except Lushai
Hills. The Superintendent, Lushai Hills could not supply any information owing to
the absence of the Veterinary Assistant on leave.

16.  The total mortality reported from contagious diseases as compared with the
previous two years is as follows:—
