57. Supply of sera and vaccines.—The following table shows

Rs. 1,43,572-13-3 including outstandings of Rs. 71,229-7-6
from the previous years were realised from local bodies and the
departments of Government and credited to Government.
A sura of Rs. 126,681-12-3 still remains to be recovered for the
products received from the Imperial Institute of Veterinary
Research, Muktesar, but the sum includes Rs. 40,383-4-0 being
the value of serum in stock on the 31st March 1930. Excluding
the stock in hand and the amount Rs. 30,821-1-3 due by
the department, the amount payable by local bodies on the above
date was Rs. 55,477-7-0.

58. The district boards have so far taken a keen interest
in inoculation work. Due to some widespread outbreaks,
however, the charges during the last two years proved heavy in
some instances and the boards had difficulties to meet them from
their budget provisions. Considering their financial position
Government were pleased to help them as in the previous year
