67. Office.—The ministerial staff worked hard throughout the
year. The Head Assistant Babu J. C. Ghosh and Accountant Babu K.
C. Mitter deserve special mention. The work of this office has increased
considerably in recent years due, in part, to the expansion of the Depart-
ment and to increased correspondence with District Boards now that
they are controlled by non-official Chairmen, and also to the fact that
the work of the Veterinary Adviser is now done in this office. The
bulk of this extra work falls on these two men. Proposals for an
increase of their salary have been submitted to Government and it is
hoped they will receive sympathetic consideration.
