(1) Extract of ojwan leaves (Ptychotis Ajowan) with
kala nimak and mixed with saliva; (2) Jira (cara-
way seed), 1 part, gairu mati (red clay), 6 parts,
made into a paste with saliva for removal of opacity
of the cornea; (3) another prescription—vermilion,
6 parts, johari nimak 6 parts, kantihori 4 parts
rubbed with the juice of ginger; (4) a piece of
linen soaked in strong spirit is tied over the eye
and over that castor leaves.

Strangles ... ...

Kenar, kantu saru, luchha, bhaloahi,
laharbut, johari, joharbad.

(1) Regniphal (Canavalia Gladiata) is rubbed with goat's
milk and put into the nostrils. (2) When the dis-
charge is profuse, til oil and ghi are mixed and
applied to the nostrils; (3) Jaitoon oil and honey
internally, 2 chitaks each of peepla mool (Chavica
Roxburghii), ojwan (Ptychotis Ajowan), khorosani
(Hyoscyamus), ambi huldi (Curcuma Zedoaria),
peepul (Ficus religiosa), poppy head (Papaver somni-
ferum), and ginger are mixed with old treacle, made
into balls and given twice daily; (4) golmorich
(pepper) with ghi given internally; (6) rogni seed
(Convalia Gladiata), mixed with goat's milk and
given through the nostrils; (6) salt, turmeric, treacle'
and hukka water.

(1) Internal romedies are only given; Chainsoor 2 chitaks,
dried ginger 2 chitaks, turmeric 2 chitaks lota saji
1 chitak, asafœtida ½ chitak, gungal 1 chitak. This
mass well mixed is made into 14 balls, and one is
given daily. Fresh water but no grain is given.
(2) Hoofs are placed on hot bricks. (3) The
whole body is washed frequently with hot water.
(4) A live lizzard (Bichonti or Ghurogora) given in
grass.
