What is the total land area of the subdivision (cultivated, grazing, and
sterile, separately, if practicable?

Total area of the subdivision 824,960 acres, 627,200 acres under cultiva-
tion, and 197,760 acres grazing and sterile.

Is any land available on a Government estate or otherwise; and if so, on
what estate, which is suited for cattle-breeding?

Yes. In Government estate Jamalpur and estates Khulla, Charparar
Pokhimari and Salpakia within the ijara of the Maharajah of Nato,
there are lands so available. Besides within pargana Sherpur, within the
estate of the zamindars of Sherpur, there are plenty of lands for breed-
ing purposes.
