   13.     The Board's remarks were as follows:—

"We consider the results satisfactory. In Class C we noticed high
proficiency in Operative Surgery as also in Class B in Anatomy. In
Handling of Animals in Class A we are glad to observe that the
proficiency shown by the students has improved since last we noted on
the subject in 1928. The subject of Soundness does not appear to
have been taught up to the usual standard.

2.     "It has been brought to our notice that the subjects of Materia
Medica and Pharmacy were not taught during the session 1929-30,
and that the subject of Zoology was taught in addition to Botany
and Physics in addition to Chemistry. We consider; that in view of
the fact, that the whole question of revising the curricula of veterinary
colleges in India is to be dealt with almost immediately by the
Veterinary Committee of the Council of Agricultural Research, in
accordance with the recommendations of the Royal Agricultural
Commission in India, that these changes were premature.

3.     "We recommend that the curriculum as at present sanctioned
should be continued, and we suggest that the subjects omitted be
taught in both Classes A and B during the coming session, so that a
return to the normal in respect to those students who have passed
Class A now, will be possible."

14.     Stipends.—Out of 163 students remaining at the end of the
session, 112 held stipends from various sources as detailed below and
51 were private students.
