                                 Preface and General Administration.

College.—I held charge of the Bengal Veterinary College, the
Raymond Research Laboratory and the Epizootic Diseases Department
in Calcutta and suburbs from 1st to 8th April 1932, when I proceeded
on leave out of India and remained on leave from 9th April to 31st
October 1932. I resumed charge of the above duties again on 1st
November 1932 and continued till the end of the year.

2.     During my absence on leave, Khan Sahib S. S. Ahmed, Vice-
Principal, remained in charge, in addition to his own duties. He
reverted as Vice-Principal on 1st November 1932 and remained on
leave from 2nd December 1932 to 23rd March 1933, and again resumed
charge as Vice-Principal on 24th March 1933 and continued till end of
the year.

3.     Students.—During the last few years an increasing demand for

outside India, Ceylon and Malay States and even private students
from Iraq, as will be seen from the figures given below.

4.     At the beginning of the session 185 students were on the rolls
of this College, of whom 17G prolonged their studies throughout the
