                                  Musaum and Library.

15. Museum.—During the session the number of interesting and
rare specimens, pathological and parasitological, was increased and in
addition several stuffed subjects, skeletons, models and charts were pre-
pared and set up for demonstration.

16. The Curator was deputed for three months' training in ele-
mentary Taxidermy, etc., under the Director, Zoological Survey of
India, in the Indian Museum. Some carcasses of rare birds were
collected during the year through the special efforts of the College
Manager. After being prepared, they also were added to our collection.

17.     At the request of the Director, Imperial Institute of Veterinary
Research, Muktesar, a few specimens of parasites were supplied to that
Institution. Some interesting and important specimens were also
supplied to the University of Science, Calcutta, for their use.

18.     Library.—The Library is being annually equipped with up-to-
date British Indian and a few Foreign books and periodicals. But it
is to be regretted this supply has, from shortage of funds, been recently
curtailed. Government are being approached to consider the provision
of more funds for this section. The Library is kept open for the use of
the students and staff during specified hours. A few copies of veterinary
text-books were presented to the Library by Khan Sahib S. S. Ahmed,
Vice-Principal, Bengal Veterinary College.

19.     Text-books and instruments of District Boards, Native States
and other provincial Governments were regularly issued by the Librarian
to their stipendiaries.

                  Anatomical Section and Bone Room.

20.     During the year under report, wet and dry specimens were
prepared for permanent use in the Dissection Theatre.

21.     Four complete skeletons (bones)—two of the horse and two of
the ox—were prepared and deposited in the Bone Room.

22.     The following wet specimens were prepared and preserved
during the year for demonstration purposes:—

(1)   A full grown equine foetus with its membranes.

(2)  A specimen with all the organs of the urinary system, showing
two kidneys with suprarenal bodies intact, two ureters and
the bladder.

                                      Hostels.

23.     The Manager was in charge of the Hostels. One hundred
and seventy-six boarders were in Sir Andrew Fraser and Macpherson
Hostels of the College.

24.     Eleven "messes" had to be opened according to nationality,
and wishes of the boarders. These were run efficiently under proper
direction and guidance of the Manager.
