The health of the inmates has been good. Of the 55 remaining in the Asylum
at the close of the year, 44 have gained in weight, 3 remain stationary, and 8 lost
in weight; this is much better than last year, where only 29 gained in weight,
which led my predecessor to predict a high death-rate this year, which has not
turned out to be the case. But I may say that three patients are in a lingering
state from atrophy and must die in a short time.
