The whole of the civil male and female lunatics have been maintained by the
various Municipal and Local Fund Boards of the districts, and the criminals by
Government. No private-paying or military patients were admitted during the
year, and none remained over from the previous one.
Buildings.—The hospital has been furnished with iron-barred doors, and the
terrace roof replaced by a tiled one. The building was completed and handed
over for occupation in February, and at the suggestion of the Official Visitors,
the criminals were removed into it, as the cottage occupied by them had to be
vacated for repairs.
