There were 47 deaths against 33 and 29 in previous years. The increase is due to the mortality from dysentery and cholera. Fourty-one out of the total of 47 were due to dysentery 23, tuberculosis 9 and cholera 9. The figures for these diseases in 1926 Were 11, 13, and nil, respectively.
Two patients died of pneumonia, one from an accidental injury to the spine, one from pyaemic infection and the other two from cardiac and renal diseases.
