26 DULLUNDA ASYLUM.
The native doctor's conduct and qualifications have been made the subject of a special
report which is now before Government. His removal has been directed, but is delayed
pending the orders of Government on the general question of appointing the departmental
native doctors to special and peculiar work of this kind. The conduct of the native establish-
ment has been good, except in the instance of the peon who is now in prison.
I have the honor to be,
SIR,
Your most obedient servant,
ARTHUR PAYNE, Surgeon-Major,
Superintendent, Lunatic Asylum.
