Admitted into the Asylum on 19th March 1897 in bad health. He was
admitted into the hospital and placed in the convalescent gang for debility
and loss of weight. He was dirty and troublesome. Became weaker and
weaker till he had an attack of convulsions on the nth January 1899, of
which he died.

Post mortem.—Brain 2 lbs. 14 oz. Adherent to the duramater, superficial
vessels dilated, the membrane much thickened, there was a deposit of lymph
over the cerebrum, substance of the brain firm. A considerable quantity of
fluid (4 oz.) removed from the cranial cavity. No fluid in the lateral ventri-
cles. Posterior part of the choriod plexus on both sides showed nodules
about the size of small nuts in a state of calcareous degeneration and on the
right side there were also a few very small cysts.

and rectum.

An old and greatly emaciated woman, admitted in very poor health with
prolapse of uterus and rectum of old standing. Had directly to be admit-
ted into hospital for treatment. She was dirty, restless, and troublesome.
Gradually lost ground and died.

Post mortem.—Alimentary canal. Mucous membrane of large and small
intestines much thickened. Old standing congestion in the whole rectum
but no ulceration.

Uterus.—About 4½ inches long protruding from the vagina, and about the
size of a big mango in circumference at its widest portion. There were old
standing superficial ulcers, one on the anterior surface about ½ inch in
length, ¼ inch in breadth, and one on the posterior surface about 1¼ inch
in length and about ¼ inch in breadth ; on opening the organ some thick
yellowish fluid about 3½ oz. came out of the cavity.

Shwe Meik was admitted into the Asylum on 23rd January 1899 in very poor
health with right Hemi-plegia and Aphasia. Food and medicine had to be
given with feeding cup and tube through the nose. He gradually lost
ground and died.

Post mortem,— Brain 2 lbs. 4 oz. Superficial vessels much gorged with blood.
Pacchionian bodies enlarged. Distinct softening and increased vascularity
in the left frontal lobe. The left corpus striatum was softer and more vas-
cular than the right.

Admitted in bad health. He was dirty in habits, very restless, destructive
and did not take his food properly; extremely weak and prostrated and
gradually sank and died after 13 days in the Asylum.

Post mortem.— Brain 2 lbs. 7 oz. There was no fluid in the cranial cavity.
Superficial vessels much dilated. A very little fluid in the ventricles. The
brain generally somewhat more vascular than usual, but nothing very mark-
ed found out.
