inferior servants, cost of Bazar Medicine and building and repairs.
91. The value of invested capital remained the same as in the last year, viz.,
Rs. 49,000.
Indian States.
92. The total expenditure of hospitals and dispensaries in the Indian States
of Rajputana was Rs. 8,27,411 against 7,50,351 in 1925 shewing an increase of
Rs. 77,060, which is due partly to an expenditure of Rs. 12,500 for X-Ray building
and purchase of a new X-Ray Machinery and construction of new quarters for the
House Surgeon, Mayo Hospital, Jaipur, at a cost of Rs. 8,000 and partly to an
excess of about Rs. 31,000 in the cost of Europe Medicines, contingencies and
dieting of in-door patients in the Dispensaries of Marwar State.
93. Of the total expenditure on hospitals and dispensaries in the Indian
States Rs. 1,65,725 were expended in Jaipur, Rs. 1,03,404 in Bikaner, 1,71,738 in
Marwar, Rs. 79,052 in Kotah, Rs. 73,614 in Mewar, Rs. 26,760 in Bharatpur,
Rs. 44,057 in Alwar, Rs. 20,848 in Tonk, Rs. 18,096 in Jhalawar, Rs. 15,749 in
Sirohi, Rs. 21,643 in Dholpur, Rs. 13,151 in Karauli, Rs. 20,582 in Banswara,
Rs. 6,198 in Kishengarh, Rs. 6,863 in Shahpura, Rs. 3,802 in Jaisalmer, Rs. 15,157
in Dungarpur, Rs. 5,828 in Partabgarh, Rs. 4,225 in Bundi and Rs. 2,892 in Kushal-
garh.
94. The average cost of each case treated in Ajmer-Merwara and in the Indian
States hospitals and dispensaries was 69 and 81 pies against 93 and 87 pies respec-
tively in 1925.
