During the past year 202 persons have been vaccinated by the vaccinator
employed by the Municipality, of whom 137 were males, and 65 females, 58 being
under one year of age. An increase of 93 operations over last year is thus shown.
Vaccination was carried on for the whole year, excepting during the month of
October, when it failed, and I was not able to restore it till November. The lymph
has been good, and the vesicles well formed. The vaccinator seems willing and
diligent, but complains of the difficulties he has to contend with from the opposition
and aversion of the inhabitants ; I hope that by tact and perseverance it may be over
come. ________________
