The annual return of vaccination to close of official year (31st March) is forwarded
in compliance with directions from the Superintendent General of Vaccination, though
the vaccinator was transferred for duty under the Superintendent of Vaccination,
Central Circle, from the 1st March 1871, and his monthly returns of work have been
forwarded to that office since the 1st July 1870.

A reference to last annual report will supply information as to amount and source
of salary, extent of charge &c.

There has been a falling off in the number of operations both this year and last,
and a proportionate increase in the average cost of each case, which this year gives 4
annas and 2 pies as the expenditure for every successful case.

The difficulty in procuring children for vaccination, without the assistance of a
peon, is stated to be the cause of paucity of operations.

The lymph has been of good quality, and a supply always available when asked for.
