Head Vaccinator of Bombay City is not included in this statement as he never works.
In primary vaccination the number of successful cases was greater
than last year, being 854,182 against 851,718. In re-vaccination also the success-
ful cases were more than in the preceding year. The intensity of the protective
power of primary vaccine operations may be judged by the unsuccessful re-
vaccinations. The unsuccessful cases on the whole are less than in 1888-89,
whilst the unknown cases are greater by 5,617 than the previous year in total
operations.
