in the Native Army. In re-vaccination the highest percentage was 65.55 in
Native States, and the lowest 50.48 under municipal establishments. In all
establishments, as a whole, the percentage was 94.56 in primary and 58.74 under
re-vaccination.

Work of establishments.

The work of the different establishments by
districts and circles is as follows :—

Government vaccinators.

27. There are two Government vaccinators for the cantonment of Ráikot
and Deesa and their work is supervised by the Medical
Officer, Káthiáwár State Agency. Besides these two,
there are three others under the Station Staff Surgeons for the military stations
of Mhow, Neemuch and Nasirabad paid from " Military Funds", and their work
is included under the head of Native Army.

Work of Cantonment vac-
cinators.

28. There is one vaccinator for the cantonment of Poona, and one enter -
tained by the Poona suburban Municipality and Kirkee
Cantonment for Kirkee. There is also a joint muni-
cipal and cantonment vaccinator at Málegaon in the
Násik Zilla. Vaccination in the Devláli Cantonment was performed by the
Medical Officer of the hospital. In the Ahmedabad Cantonment vaccination work
was done by the cantonment vaccinator. The following table indicates the
progress of vaccinations by Districts in which the abovenamed cantonments are
situated:—

In the total of primary vaccination there is a slight increase of 205, but
under re-vaccination the decrease is considerable. Taking the two operations
together, there was a net decrease of 1,974. There are forty-eight working vacci-
nators who vaccinated primarily 72,842 persons and re-vaccinated 12,200, of which
69,076 and 6,158 were successful. The total cost was Rs. 33,619-6-9 or annas 7-2
each successful case. The unsuccessful and unknown cases were respectively
4,045 and 6,041. There were 278 secondary operations.
