The rate of infantile protection varied from 92.5 in the Ellichpur District
to 76.1 in the Basim district.

In the latter district the proportion of children protected between 1 and 6
is highest.

The amount of protection afforded by vaccination as gauged by the avail-
able number of infants protected is shown in the following table.

The available number of infants is calculated by deducting the registered
deaths of children under one year from the registered births, and though not
absolutely correct, yet it affords approximate data for gauging the protection
afforded.
