                                KAMPTEE.

One Second-class Vaccinator worked during the year in this cantonment.
He reports a total of 1,796 operations with a percentage of 87.73 of success,
showing an increase of 1,208 cases over the work of the previous year, and the
results in 2 cases were unknown. Of the total there were 988 males and 808
females. 776 infants under one year of age were successfully vaccinated. The caste
and sex of these are as follow :—

                                ZEMINDARIES.

Thirteen Vaccinators are employed by four Zemindaries—Pittapur in the
Godavari District, Jeypore in Vizagapatam, Venkatagiri in Nellore, and Arni Jaghire
in the North Arcot District. Their collective work amounts to 6,113 cases during
the year with a success of 89.64 per cent. On comparison with the number
vaccinated during the past year there appears an increase of 2,266 operations.
