amount performed by municipal vaccinators elsewhere. The work done by the
Kurnool experimental agency referred to in paragraph 8 of last year's review was
excellent, each vaccinator performing 2,836 operations against 1,232 in 1889-90, and
the rate of success, excluding unknown cases, being 96.3 per cent. The working of
the system on its present basis has, therefore, been continued pending final orders
with regard to Dr. King's lanoline paste (G.O., dated 8th July 1891, No. 1653 L.).

8. General Remarks.—The re-organization of the Vaccination department is now
under consideration and the report called for on this subject in G.O., dated 12th
January 1891, No. 61 L., should be submitted as soon as the question of supplying
lanoline paste has been disposed of.
