14.  The work turned out by Government vaccinators shows an increase of 813,
which might have been more but for the fact that returns for nine months only are
available in the case of Gunupur, the deputy inspector of this range having died
and difficulty being experienced in getting a suitable man to succeed him.

15.  In zamindaris the work has increased by 1,173, while the cost of each
successful case has decreased by 9 pies. Almost no re-vaccination work is done by
these vaccinators.

16.  The work in dispensaries again shows decline (5,831) and that by medical
subordinates a similar fall of 1,984. This has been the case ever since it was ren-
dered optional on the part of medical officers to perform vaccination, but probably
the normal limit has now been reached, and in future years the figures will show
only slight variations.

17.  In cantonments 285 more cases have been operated on than was the case
last year, and the cost of each case has increased by 3 pies.
