17.  Civil Assistant Surgeon S. Ramakrishnan continued as temporary Assist-
ant to the Director throughout the year.

18.  The vaccination class was held as usual during February and March.
Twenty-one students sat for the examination and all of them obtained qualifying
marks in the examination held at the end of the course.

19.   The staff of the section worked very well and, in spite of the increased
volume of work, carried out their duties with regularity and dispatch.
